Adopting a baby is something we've talked about for a number of years and in November of 2004 we officially started the long, detailed and sometimes intrusive process. There have been many ups and downs, lots of paperwork, meetings, and dreams but the time has finally come, we are in the homestretch. Follow along as we become a family!

Travel Dates

We finalized our travel dates this week. We leave for Toronto late on June 29th and fly out of Toronto for Beijing early on June 30th. With the time change and travel time allowances that has us landing in Beijing early afternoon on July 1st...Canada Day! For our trip home we leave on Friday July 14th in the early afternoon and arrive in Halifax via Toronto around 8pm on the same day. With all the time changes (not to mention having a new baby) we should be pretty exhausted by then. We've been doing a little shopping to try and get everything we need for our trip but we're sure Jenna will have a few tricks up her sleeve that we weren't prepared for. We should have our actual itinerary for while we're in China in the next couple of weeks. We'll let everyone know more then! This becomes more exciting everyday.
